Sensors
What is on the board and what it can do. Ranges and accuracies are from the manufacturers' datasheets.
- CO₂
- Sensirion SCD40, photoacoustic infrared (NDIR), 400–2000 ppm, ±(50 ppm + 5 %). Automatic baseline calibration; pressure compensation.
- Temperature, humidity, pressure
- Bosch BME280. Humidity ±3 % RH; pressure ±1 hPa; ambient temperature corrected for self-heating (two-sensor model).
- Illuminance
- BH1750, 1–65 535 lux. The sensor window faces backwards; the firmware applies a compensation factor.
- Noise
- MEMS microphone, 48 kHz, A-weighting per IEC 61672, one-minute average. Estimated dB(A); recording impossible.
Data and updates
Everything is stored on the device. Nothing goes to a vendor server.
- History
- Room every 5 minutes for 30 days; daily min, mean and max for about 5 years; hourly weather for a year.
- Access
- History page via the QR code on screen, in the phone browser; a local data interface on the home network.
- Smart home
- Matter over Wi-Fi; Apple Home sees CO₂, temperature, humidity and air quality index; no hub needed, an iPhone is enough.
- Updates
- Over Wi-Fi, the device checks for new versions once a day. Current firmware 2.4.2. Update manifest.
